Sounds like company growing pains. That's a bit different from what I originally thought was going on. The way I was understanding your first post, it sounded like this was a fly by night operation. But it now sounds more like it's an issue of growing pains.
Did you have a conversation with your boss about this? If not, that would be my first step. Talk it out and have the issue resolved.
Ya know...I just hate brokers

You, sir, clearly have all the answers. So grateful...

Growing pains suck. I'm waiting to see how long this carrier realizes exactly why everyone else is a cookie cutter operation once past a certain point. They have to be. Sure, this one may be able to provide basic health coverage without cost like those golden days, but 140 drivers is easy. Try 1000. That'll turn around right quick.
Anyway, right now all drivers have the owners' numbers. I can chat with the big partner. Not sure if I will, though. The office has Operations meeting twice a week, so I'm hoping some driver suggestions are brought up here and there by dispatchers. Apparently, they do talk about these things. I'll just work on my dispatcher until I see evidence that they are at a loss. I doubt they are.rbrtwbstr Thanks this. -
The irony of posting this while driving for a company that is only in business because of 3rd party brokers is hilarious.

I had the same thoughts, but it sounds more like the OP just needed to vent a bit. It happens

I get it. I honestly think sometimes the vitriol that springs up from drivers about brokers is one part "a few bad apples ruins the bunch", one part not really knowing what drives the activity behind some of the annoying requests (e.g. macropoint requirements, consistent call checks to the driver, etc), and one part tribal lore passed down from one driver to the next (e.g. brokers are all out to get us, brokers keep 50% of the revenue on every load, brokers don't have any overhead and are just out to get us, etc). You mix it all together and you get a thread like this.

I wonder if they also take advantage of the quick pay options from the not necessary brokers that they get their work from? 140 trucks is a lot of fuel and a lot of payroll to take care of while they wait 30+ days to get paid.JimmyTwoTimes Thanks this.

Y’all just haven’t fig your how to make them quit falling at night.
Some brokers use their company cell phones now too, you gotta do dialog, answer with standard greeting, then start with “What’re you doing calling me now, my ole lady is here, she’ll find out.”
They’ll be like, “No no, i’m whomever” just keep it up, as you just got woke, “Don’t call me at this hour. she’s crazy, she’ll be after both of us.”
It really makes them quit calling, especially if it’s a dude load broker, he’ll contact your company cause he won’t want to deal with you.hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
See that dark place between your rear cheeks? Why don't you be a good boy and place that opinion right there
