i jus left arnold becuz they started carin less about sittin a driver between loads. i got home 97% of the time but ever since us express totally took control all the arnold policies started goin to us express policies..they hire dispatchers with absolutely no clue about the truckin industry. i ran the north east and started sittin more than i ran so i left....i took a pay cut with this new company so we ll see how they run me.....they were a good company when i went there 2 yrs ago

I worked for this crap company. RUN LEGAL untill your out of hours, then just get it there any way u can. HOME TIME EVERY WEEKEND, unless we need to get a load delivered then u cant go home now. COMPANY POLICY WEIGH ALL LOADS, but we will foget to pay the miles to the scale if its out of the original trip route, and you will have to fight for this pay a week or so later when you get paid and its not their. If u rub north east regional plan on lots of shot haul less than 100 miles. They are also owned by USEXPRESS, thats why all the trucks are now red. They are also all automaics, with no air bag dump valves, and no power divider lock. Perfect for the new breed morons that the industry is bringing in. (I can drive my honda so i think i can drive a truck........so many switches and buttons........and a gear shifter......oh my!!!!) Dont worry we will get u one with out all stuff becuse we would rather hire morons than teach someone how to drive a real truck. Bottom feeders that lie lie lie.

Personally i havent had much trouble staying in the hours of service, but that is probably becuase of lower freight volumes lately. Not getting as many miles as I would like but given the economy and the time of year Im ok with treading water til it gets better again, assuming it will ever get better but thats another thred. I have noticed that Im getting a lot of loads lately that have p/u and delivery times about 16 hours apart but unable to get a break in b4 delivering, That would be a problem but I just bring them in 6 hours early and tell them you can have it early or you can get it tomarrow your choice, havent had a problem yet. A lot of being able to succeed as a truck driver has to do with attitude, if you dont sweat the little things you will last longer. I personally dont care if a load gets there or not, schedual it so that I can make it on time and it will get there on time. Or go the other route and Ill shut down on you and you can run arround like a chicken with thier heads cut off looking for someone to come repower it.

Work with me and Ill work with you, screw me and ill screw you right back and make it look like its your fault.

USX now owns 100% of Arnold. New Polocies and Pay Scales in place (lower than before). Pay periods are Tuesday to Tuesday so they want us to stay out and sit on weekends. Miiles are WAAAAYYYYYYY down. Freight SUCKS right now as USX is planning us and we get what they don't want or can't load. Home time is if you can snatch it in between loads and if you are close enough. Haz Mat Certification on you license is required and if you don't have it and get caught with a Haz Mat load then it is your butt and not Arnolds. All trucking companies are suffering right now and the only reason Arnold is still around is because of USX (or so we are told).
    Did that answer your questions?

i'm reading these post; and the only thing i can say is every thing is not going to be sweet with these o.t.r company's no matter who own's them!!! the way thing's are going with the economy you may need to be glad that your working...freight is down right now in all o.t.r co; due to the economy i've been told that from some of my friend's with different o.t.r co; i'm on my to,ARNOLD, i'll be running northeast region, and i don't care were they send me as long as they pay me!!!! i don't care what color my truck is as long as my money is green.. lol,lol

i think once the economy get's better we'll have choice's to pick from when it come's to working with these o.t.r company's we won't have to deal with this crap and freight would have picked up again... thing's will be better but for right now you deal with what you got and hope for the best...something is allway's better than nothing!!!!

if you have a family then that's the only reason why you put up with this from these company's( cause you do what you have to do not what you want to do)these are the thing's we do for our family's!!! if i was still single with no kid's then there's no way i be driving a truck o.t.r...... i'm from NYC. ARNOLD said no NYC. but i hope they do NYC. they can throw all NYC. freight my way i read on there web-site that they pay 45 dollar's extra if you take loads to NYC.????? i'll take that all day long... lol.lol

read all the treads about any company u think u want to work 4. Do u realy want 2 live in a truck for half the money u should be making. U can get a 9 to 5er ,make just as much on an averageand be home. Drivers made as much 15 years ago as now. U may think 6,7,even 800 grose a week is better than nothing but you will spend 50 a day on the road. More if your sitting alot trying 2 entertain your self. Yes you will be sitting alot with any company u pick. Freight is slow every were. Yes some day things will get better. go drive a truck otr then. Starve at home not in a truck. Construction season is hear, get a job driving a dump truck or mixer. you will make just as much if not more than otr right now.
