A lot of fireworks in a very short time about Yellow.
Teamsters Boss Sean O’Brien has called out Yellow CEO Darren Hawkins in the youtube vid below and on Twitter yesterday.
Supposedly Hawkins has been telling drivers that Yellow will be out of money by August.

Yellow received a $700M loan during Covid, but to date has only paid back $56.7 million of that, yet they sure can seem to find money to repaint trucks and trailers and drop the YRC name.
How Teamsters and trucking giant Yellow ended up in a bitter battle

Just bad decision after bad decision for this company since 2003.
I’m sad for 9107 drivers who will be affected by the bad decisions and mismanagement, but hopefully the rest of the industry will step up and absorb these drivers and put them to work.

Exactly. They've teetering on the edge since...well, how long have they been in business? LOL...I had a chance to go to work for them thirty five years ago and didn't because they sounded shaky even then. I took a casual job with Western Gillette instead.

YRC offered me a job in 2019, I said no thanks. They wanted to pay me $0.57 cpm and Saia was offering $0.665 cpm and Estes was offering $0.63 cpm. I went with Saia but shoulda gone with Estes.
Saia turned out to be a very bad decision. Glad I didn’t go with YRC.23techsense, misterG, Mnmover99 and 4 others Thank this. -
What is the problem with SAIA? What would have been better at Estes?Mnmover99 Thanks this.
