    People think trucking companies are flush with cash. One thing I found out from sitting in these driver advisory board meetings, is there have been years at FCC when they didn’t make a profit. The profit margins in this industry are very tight.

    A few years ago when things were on the upside FCC shared the spoils with the drivers and gave several raises. I wouldn’t count on fleet wide raises anytime soon. The economic uncertainty along with a looming election probably won’t allow it.

    Spent the last 3.5 hours shuttling a couple empty's to Propak from Walmart. Finally under my trailer bound for Cargill in Schuyler. I will take this through the house for the weekend and drop it Monday morning, then head over to Fremont for my regular truck service. I should be home by tomorrow afternoon or early evening.
