It’s definitely the employees who lost. This is NOT a win. Both sides failed the drivers. Sure the teamsters refused to back down, but I’m willing to bet a lot of drivers wished they had.
    It’s sad all around

thank you sir. At least I wasn’t the only 1 to realize this, and this goes back to my comments. Sorry if some were offended. Speaking the truth on how I felt on the matter. You said it well. Rudest, arrogant drivers I ever ran into. Going back to when I was a kid riding with my dad and his opinions were the same.

Yeah, and maybe if everyone acted like adults we would be having a different discussion. They all failed us. Yellow failed and so did the Teamsters.

It's pitiful and pathetic how both sides acted.

Even though I knew this was coming it is still a shock. All those people that lost their jobs....and the sob' that made these choices move on to another 7 figure job. Makes me sick.

True I’m sure but I worked with some pretty entitled individuals at Norwalk . Teamsters don’t have a monopoly on entitled drivers

    Highly Disagree...
Yellow could have done their COO under their current contract that they signed. They could be putting money in the bank and freight on their trailers and paying their bills. All over them wanting to gut their existing labor contract with NO negations The Teamsters are just following their end of the contract that they signed.
Who in their right mind would ship with a company that has NO direction and is not sure if they are a going concern or not.

Mack already sumed it up. While we arent gleeful that these people are out of jobs we also arent exactly sorry for them and ARE gleeful yellow died. They got handout after handout and chances stacked on chances.

With even the barest minimum of proper managment they likely coulda righted the ship. Instead they kept burning and setting more fires while going for a joyride over reefs and passing around the bottle. Then getting worse and worse before coming back and DEMANDING that we bail out a "too big to fail" company.

So yes im sorry for the every day average workers who got the axe, but even many of them were of the park in the fuel island for their 30 and when asked to move giving the standard "im union, get ####ed" response to the point yellow was pretty reviled by most "normal" drivers. Plus yellow has been a sinking ship for a long time. Anyone who stayed there and didnt have a plan B in their pocket is an idiot

I remember everything went through the fuel and check lanes upon arrival.
In order to speed up time thru break this process was stopped. Result was fixing problems on the other end while a driver was on the clock. Don't know how many times a trailer had to be put to the dock to unload because the trailer was not road worthy.

When my old job was lost that I worked at for 15 plus years it was hard. I missed the work I did and the people I worked with more than the money. I enjoyed going to work every day and that is a hard thing to replace. I don't care for a lot of people but some of those guys was like family to me. I spent just as much time with them as I did my family at home. It takes time to adjust!
