    This is not conversation related.

My five year old son just woke me up. I am now watching some YouTube video on a chef recreating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class dishes that were served on the Titanic.

I am well versed in culinary language but I never heard of sured eggs or grilled muttons. Someone in Great Britain must have written up the menus at the time and I am sure there is a language barrier.

I marvel at the quality of the food passengers were able to eat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. But at the same time, despite my own personal circumstances I am well better positioned than most people on that boat; regardless how good of a quality of their meal were.

It's been a grueling ride. The last two weeks were complete hell. So much so that people on this forum had enough concern about my well being to have law enforcement sent to my place of residence.

I am ok. Or at least I am trying to redefine what it means to be ok. I am going to venture out, enjoy the poor weather conditions which are forecasted to be oppressively hot and keep knocking on doors to try to find new employment.

Being in oppressive heat is better than drifting in 25° fahrenheit sea off of the coast of Newfoundland. Gotta count my wins where I can.

Best of wishes to my fellow and now former coworkers. Please believe me when I say this. The position we have been placed in is unbelievable difficult.

Yes I do. We make environmentally friendly croissants out of roach and beetle powder and deliver it by bicycle. Not worrying about our carbon footprint gives us more time to say Je me rends (I surrender).

The uniform is pretty sweet too.

Congrats on your Michelin job man. Sorry to see you go, but you’ve been doing this as long as I have, and I 100% agree- it might be time to jump ship from this career in my end too.

I’m eyeing becoming a physical therapist or something else in the medical field.

I’m so tired of being gone constantly. Lucked out and got a really good paying yard dog position recently, so it gives me the opportunity to attend school again, or just generally find something that isn’t in trucking.

wish you the best of luck brother, be safe out there.

Best of luck in your endeavors. You sound like you have the motivation and drive to succeed in your current field of studies. I am also glad to read that your new position allows you to have spare time to study a field that you are interested in.

I plan on abandoning this entire sector in it's entirety. I would like to cook professionally and have my own food truck.

Traditional restaurants have real estate that is not financially obtainable given the current environment.

I wish you the absolute best. I hope you find somewhere that provides a career path that you enjoy.

The current level of support I am getting is humbling. There will be a period of my life where I can send each and one of you some custom coffee or tea

Unfortunately this time is not now for me. However, I look forward to the day where I can collect your addresses and fulfill this under much better circumstances.

It's been a difficult journey and a deep hole to dig myself out of.
