Oversized Load going to Telluride, CO

That is going to be the question. Some bends, curves that are a bit tight.

Another place that could be problematic is when you come off 62 to 145. That will be a left turn, limited sight line for oncoming traffic. That first several miles from placerville is pretty tight. Narrow lanes. Has some good bends and curves. Lots of tree overhang as well.

 

Sure would like some pictures for this silly east-coast locked 8 axle driver.

They pretty much already said what I knew I used to run through somewhat frequently. Good luck. Beautiful drive, but she will keep you on your toes that's for shure.

 

Just out of curiosity @blairandgretchen would these loads be going to the airport?

 

LOL. Back in my van days myself and like 15 other trucks delivered to that airport. That was in like 07. They were redoing the runway.

That was pulling a van, and had my butt puckered the entire way, especially up the construction hill entrance they made for us...

I'm sure your going to but yes, charge them lots of money!!!! LOL

 

I think he means the "Million Dollar Highway" between Ouray and Silverton. Trucks aren't supposed to take that section. We're supposed to approach Ouray from the north, and Silverton from the south.
