    Well they were doing that on the Crude side some years back. And some of them are still at Gemini on the refined side.

    They don’t train to obtain a cdl, just train in fuel hauling business so drivers can get carded at racks and learn to how to load and unload fuel..

    I looked into them some time back. I was qualified but they never had openings at the local Loves. Then they required a minimum of 2 years experience. Now, from their site:

    EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

    • 1-2 years of verifiable over-the-road driving experience or certification from accredited truck driving academy.
    Times change.

    Maybe they have so much trouble keeping drivers that if they help drivers with their CDL, they can lock them in with a contract for a year or so.
