There is a lot of good companies to work for, if you can’t find work, more than likely it’s because you have a HUGE BLACK SPOT in your history somewhere. Freight is slow, but anyone who has any motivation to be a great driver can find a home if they apply themselves.

There is no Best company to work for issue you might have not many of them hiring right now

See if any LTL carriers are hiring dock workers in your area. I’m out in California, but OD just restarted the driver school for dock guys a couple weeks ago out here. If you can skip the megas, definitely do so. They’re not the worst way to get in, but definitely not the best either, and you’ll have that pesky automatic restriction.
