I have a inner wheel on my 1996 Kentucky trailer that is stuck with a bad tire on it. From the effort to get the nuts and studs off it has been a Loooong time since this ever saw day.
I have tried sledge hammering, can't loosen the studs and try driving it off, any suggestions?

Porta power? I've never had one I couldn't release the brakes, spin, and beat from the inside with a sledge, and get it free

I guess the outside tire is off, and the inner wheel is steel and is rusted to the brake drum, which in turn is rusted to the hub? And your trying to remove the studs to make getting off the inner wheel easier? If so, you won't get the studs out with a specialty stud remover tool. And if so try soaking with a lot of PB Blaster between the wheel and drum and let it sit for a while before attacking with a 12 lb sledge hammer.

Heat wrench,,

You could just leave the wheel on and change it, since you have the outer off.
Still needs fixed, but if you're in a bind, that would get you on the road quickW923 Thanks this. -
Put the nuts on loose and drive it around in circles.
Never had one I couldn't get off with a sledge hammer. -
He said that it’s a Kentucky,so it may be a drop frame moving van.
Might not have room to work the irons.Big Road Skateboard Thanks this. -
Call the tire shop.

This is going to be a dumb question but being a 1996 doe’s it have the Budd style lug pilot lugs with the inner thimble nut? If the nuts are removed those wheels very rarely stick on the hubs. Hub pilot wheels will weld themselves on and it may take heat and a bunch of oil to get them off. Either way One trick you can try as a measure of desperation if nothing else works is put the nuts back on studs and leave 1/2”from wheel. Drop the trailer back down on the ground connect it to a tractor and rock it back and forth to try and break it loose. You may have to drag it a little bit back and forth with the brakes locked.

Thanks for the suggestions, keep em comming!
The wheel is a 17.5 on a drop frame van. I tire blasted the tire and it was flat in 10 minutes, perhaps a tire could be put on while on the trailer?
The studs I mentioned are the ball studs for the inner wheels NOT the studs in the hub.
I tried using my 10 ton poratapower but was only getting rim deflection not the action I hoped for
Driving it off would work IF the tire was inflated, it is not and won't hold air, my next hope is a chain in a wheel hole and my forklift like a giant slide hammer. I have two options for this, one have the wheel off the ground with the dock leveler OR trailer on its own weight? The trailer is empty so no help there on keeping it in place.
I have not tried heat, I have a weed torch that could work, what is the correct method to use heat?
