I have several to install once I get my garage all wired up. Definitely paying attention here.

I swapped my T-8 tubes out for LED's as the starters went bad. Of course it seems like you can't get the same exact product now, but haven't had any issues with these two:

And swapped the tombstones out for these:

I started with the Hyperikon ones in 2016 and haven't had any fail yet. I leave the light over my workbench on 24/7, so coming up on 8 years.sawmill, singlescrewshaker, TX2Day and 7 others Thank this. -
Too late to stop you now, but I've been really happy with the Braun lights I picked up from HF, usually on sale around $16. They seem to have discontinued the ones I got, but they have the replacements lights, I believe. They came out with a newer one of mine, that is a linkable 4 ft light, that you can hook up to 8 lights in series. Each has 5500 lumens and have 30,000 hours life. I've been happy with that one and the screw in one that has lights that are adjustable, which I have in my central light socket behind the garage door opener.

Have a couple of the older style around the garage over work areas, and I may change over to the linkable ones so I don't have to use more wall sockets to plug them into...I can use one and just link them to each other. 20' x 22' garage, so it doesn't compare to your workshop, but it works for me and your milage may vary.
