K&B Transportation. The real deal!

You can get close on recaps but a well run logbook with a reset can be more productive. This is my 8 day recap with a reset, I’m showing 72:24 combined on line 3 and 4. When you run your 70 out in 6 and a half days you don’t have much of a choice but to take a reset.

So Im one of the guys who works at K&B and I just got my 2023 W2 and something seems off. I mark 0 dependents on my tax forms so that the maximum amount is withheld from my check for FICA. Despite that, and only making about 68k for 2023, with 5k witheld I OWE uncle sam an extra 2k.

Does K&B do something funky with the way that the per diem is handled that increases my taxable income or something? Because this is the first time in 5 years of trucking that I havent gotten a refund.

 

Did you keep check on the amount of Federal Tax withheld each pay day?? That should have put up a red flag. If only 5k was with held that only came to $100 each week, that is a big red flag.

There is a program that you should log into, Paycheck Calculator. You put in your information and it will tell you exactly what should be coming out of your check for taxes.

 

I've only been with them 8 months and I always mark 0 for dependents.
