Coupled with a faulty part the manufacturer never wanted to cover originally!..... getting it taken care of, I'll probably have to come back next week sometime. I'm sure it'll fail again in a year/year and a half, I'll roll with it then, but they're dam sure replacing it now!!!

Warranty work pays on time, every time. Not many flat-rate techs in the HD Truck segment like you find in most Automobile shops, so it never mattered to me if it was warranty or not. Granted, I've been out of it for 9 years now, but a dealer can adjust labor rates with the OEM, usually a max of twice per year. If techs write good stories, document with pictures and you have a decent Warranty Administrator, then recovering time on Warranty repairs isn't difficult.

hard enough wheeling a 53 footer around sometimes. Can only imagine what pulling a 57’ would be like IMG_3173.jpeg

Not that much harder out west I pulled 57' trailers for Costco while I was at Navajo, but they didn't have tight docks.

That’s because they still had to meet the kingpin rule and they couldn’t be over 65ft overall length.

IH9300SBA, BigR and cdavis188 Thank this.

Well I know what I’m doing for the weekend. I swapped trailers with the other driver where he lived at in a typical Kansas tiny town. Ran that load down to Sanger, TX and dropped it last evening, then ran down to gatorade in Dallas to grab a load to Edgerton. After I make a pit stop by the house later today then drop in Edgerton, i’ll swing over to the ACT yard to grab a trailer headed to Pennsylvania

IH9300SBA, runningman0661 and BigR Thank this.
