My first thought was "Oh ****, JB Hunt talked Sam Kane's into letting them haul cattle into the plant seeing as how they already haul the beef out of that plant" but fortunately this truck did not have the JB Hunt logo on the door.

I work with a guy who's salt of the earth, but his son is a thief. His boy got sentenced to 30 years a few months ago for stealing cattle from the local ranchers around here.

You rustle cattle in some states and it’s more serious that murder Texas being one of those statesLast edited: Feb 11, 2024

Hauling cattle with “non-hoods” is nothing new. Floyd Wild ran slope nose IH’s. Daggett ran slope nose IH’s. Speedway and Bell Creek ran FLD’s. Gurney out of UT has ran aero trucks for years.

I was hauling cattle for a guy that at that time was buying out in the country, and he had a hell of a knack for estimating weight. I swear he would be within 5 lbs or less every time, but his problem was he couldn't estimate what he had in his checking account for siht. He had already been to the pen once for not paying with a good check, and he couldn't or didn't pay me very regular so I left. It wasn't a year later my BIL told me he was in trouble again. Mississippi got him for 20 years, and I think it was Louisiana got him for 20 years and sentences were running together so say in 5 years he was out playing the same game. Then Texas got him and he got 99 years, and that stopped his little game for a while. He's going to be older than me when he gets out, and he was an Aggie to boot.Feedman, SmallPackage and RockinChair Thank this.
