It's really hard to get a decent forecast further out than a day anywhere online because the weather guessers want you to tune in every six hours so they can generate ad revenue.
There's a website called tropicaltidbits.com allows you to generate your own forecast models out for seven or ten days and run them back and forth in time while focusing on the area of interest without the cute girl weather guesser standing in front of the only area you're really interested in.
I have at least six or seven weather apps. The KTIV weather app is best for finding a specific place and looking at the forecast. (Local Sioux City TV station, but works for everywhere.) An app called Windy is handy when I'm taking a light load across Wyoming, like today. State 511 apps are handy for road conditions.
Edit: When I say "It's really hard to get a decent forecast further out than a day" I am referring to a big picture forecast for a large region or the entire country. Local forecasts are a little better, but I'm never driving local. I want to know what's going to happen and when 1500 miles away in three days, including everything in between here and there.Last edited: Feb 28, 2024

I was in the truck when that blew thru. Praying for no big hail. Now it's a chilly and windy. Frozen straps were a bit much to deal with.

I went to town this morning, it was 23 degrees but the sun was shining on my pickup so it wasn't too bad. That north wind is raw though...it's a good thing Dave and his OM are safely in casa...otherwise they might have frozen completely to death in all of this cold air.
