Being able to run that fast is nice. I’ll admit. But unless you’re doing just drop and hooks, you’ll find yourself more often not just getting to wherever you’re going faster to sit around for longer.

For me less time spent driving the truck is better. Anytime spent not in the seating position is time that I could spend exercising or relaxing doing anything else and I think that is a major concern for a lot of drivers. I don't want to be one of those guys hobbling around truck stops because I didn't take care of my health and tried to run too hard for too long.Deere hunter, BobO1176 and Tall Mike Thank this.

You exactly right. These companies have guys thinking the trucks are governed for safety lol. They are all about the money. Yes you have to keep a good safety score to stay in business but speed as nothing to do with safety. A bad driver is what causes in safe situations. I’ve talked to owners and the only reason they govern the trucks is for discounts on insurance they also get discounts for putting cameras and safety devices like an automatic braking system to avoid collisions. It’s no different the. A business taking advantage of being minority owned or women owned or veteran owned. There’s perks for those things in business.
