Fatal In Corning,Arkansas

This one sent cold chills down my spine. This is pretty much exactly what happened to me and that #### honda. Only diffrence was damage and injurys

 

I drive through there all the time. Pochahantas to Poplar Bluff is a congested two lane. The (future) I-57’s first completed stretch is going to be a 4 mile bypass around Corning. Supposed to start this year.

 

My sympathies lie with the trucker.

82 is too old to be driving a huge truck down the highway, even if he can "pass" the physical.

 

Honestly, I would way rather work with those good ol boys than these cookie cutter, no common sense, can’t back a trailer, can’t shift a manual, can’t make a tight turn, can’t do any maintenance whatsoever, down to changing a fuse, can’t imagine running 16 hours in 14 hours, don’t even know what paper logs are, never heard of using mirrors, merging smoothly is unheard of to them,some cant even speak English legibly driving school riff raff. And here are a few periods to imagine in that sentence if the length bothers anyone……………..Also, as far as his physical condition, I haven’t seen many people of his age bracket that are still driving that are majorly out of shape. The fat slobs are usually about 50 years younger than he is.

Heading either direction I get tailgated and/or passed by trucks too impatient or important to follow the speed limit.
