Will only be doing the truck if I even do it. I am guessing I could come close to swapping the cost of Rims and I will need to buy Drive tires soon anyways so it would all be a wash as cost go or close enough.
I would guess that having the TPS systems on the tires would help prevent a blow out on the tires. Not that it cannot happen but it can happen all the same on any tire. A Blow out will cause damage most likely on either kind. Sure it won't be as major on duals but never can tell on that either. this is something I do not put a lot of thought in. All the time I have drove I have never been on the side of the road for blown out tires. I tend to replace them early and never use recaps.gerardo1961 and loudtom Thank this. -
Do you have a TPMS system for your tires? Wondering if that would had helped or not? Guessing running them low on PSI will cause the blow out easier.

had halo auto inflators.broke down plumber and Siinman Thank this.

Singles run at 130 psi.
Good luck getting past 105 though.
That's all I can get with the gauges reading 130.Siinman Thanks this. -
I pulled a 5 axle trailer around for 5 years with wide based singles on it. I had one blow out. In my case it didn't hurt the rim. I think l had to get 1 other tire replaced on the road. No rim damage in that case either. I found it pulled easier and l had no issues at all driveability wise. The only negative I found is the tires wore out faster than traditional duals. The ran both virgin Michelin and Bridgestone and recaps of both.
broke down plumber, Ruthless and Siinman Thank this. -
I know Halo has the inflators but they also have the TMPS add on. Does yours have the add on or just the inflators?
Also how do you like them? I had looked into them a while back but they seemed to be a little to big for my liking. -
i just have the valve stem caps that show green when properly inflated or red when low.Siinman Thanks this.

I see this is coming out soon.
Halo Connect i3
This is something I would like to get. It is smaller and does both inflate and sensor. -
