On android phones if you take a picture of something or have a picture off the web you can automatically do a reverse image search of that item and find not only who has one for sale, but what the heck it's called.
It used to be a much more convoluted process but i believe Google was smart and purchased Reverse Image Search. I was quite the maintenance hero back in the day finding obscure parts with my said tried & true method i taught no one!
I know this may seem kind of stupid

Can you tell me the purpose that they are useful to you for? I had the tracks on a trailer but never used them.
If I recall, it had 4 total tracks - 2 on the edge, and another 2 about a foot in from the edge. It was a 53’ combo Utility.CAXPT and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
I've used the 4 track setup to get more chains on a heavy press. I was able to get 12 chains on a press and pull in more directions to avoid fragile parts and secure in tight spaces. I have them for both of our Reitnours and 3/4 of our Bensons. Don't used them much though. Just not worth messing around with when I can just grab spools and pockets. I personally prefer chain pulls in the deck.
This is 85,000 lbs.

@Razororange
That’s a lot of chain going on!
Is there a requirement for angle on the J plates, or do they lock up OK less than 45 degrees? Those seem to be fine.
I figured that the plates gave more options for securing loads, but never figured a use that superseded the available spools on rub rail.CAXPT and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
On the Bensons there are aluminum rods welded at intervals in the tracks to pull sideways against. On my Reitnours there's bolts sticking up from the bottom to pull against. You would have to shear off the 3/8" bolts to get those plates to slide. It's also why I used so many. I was able to move that 85,000 lb press with an aluminum 3 axle stepdeck. I personally wouldn't want to use more than a 3/8 chain with the plates. Both my reitnours and bensons have the same 6600lb rating for the tracks. Perfect for a 3/8 chain.CAXPT, beastr123, blairandgretchen and 2 others Thank this.

That makes sense now. I remember a caution sticker on the Utility regarding angles , when using the J track.CAXPT Thanks this.

In my line of work I secure down rows of product which may be entirely unloaded at One customer or maybe half and in order to properly secure the rest of the product the j hooks come in very handy. Other situations would be if you have different lengths of rebar and you have to secure a small part of one you can secure it with a short length of strap instead of trying to pull it to the center of the trailer.
It's all about how much of an angle is pulling down on your load versus towards the side of the trailer. The short of the load the less pressure is being put on it. If you're able to shorten the distance between each side of the securement you can increase the downforce.blairandgretchen, CAXPT and gentleroger Thank this. -
That's what I was going to do. I want 15k rated chains and binders, but they won't be as useful if the highest WLL is 6,700#
Appreciate itblairandgretchen Thanks this.
