Well, yeah. Crisis averted though. The neighbors have new sod out front, so the sprinklers were going early. Win, win IMO.

Didn't waste any water for rinsing, dead mouse.

We have some cats for the mouse control. Have to try to keep the coyotes from killing them and keep the wife from overfeeding them to the point they won't hunt. Chickens are great mouse hunters too. Bucket traps are good but I don't check on them as often as I should and the smell will just about knock you over.

I'm thinking about buying a tractor for mowing closer to the buildings so I don't have to choke on dust on the riding mower. Short grass ought to keep the mice further away from the house and buildings.

Your new abode looks great by the way. Looked like a good plan when I was there in April.

Not sure if they’d survive in your climate, but peppermint plants around the place help.

We do have some wild mint growing in the ditches on the lane going to the highway. I need to see if we can get some asparagus out there

I've been looking at a package deal in Ft Collins. A 47 hp tractor with cab. Comes with a mower, 6ft blade, post hole auger, pallet forks, hay spears, bucket and an 18' trailer. For about $50k

The tractor is made by LS. If they're anything like modern pickup trucks they'll be all the same plastic regardless of who makes them. I was told they are very similar to a New Holland. Just comes down to if I can sit in it comfortably. I might go look at one in Morgan UT first even though they scoffed at the idea of a package deal.

There’s an 861 Ford with a 5’ finish mower up here for a screaming hot deal.

I haven’t used it in 3 years or so since buying a zero turn and graveling the driveway.

I hate mice. I managed to kick one hard enough to send it across the shop and into a wall not too long ago. Normally they're pretty quick but I was quicker this time.

I’d be fine with them if they lived ‘out there’ .

They’ve been in the Challenger, in the air ducts in the Pete, and caused some major problems in the Honda Rancher.

Buddies, RIP - even without front claws, would bring them to the door regularly. His specialty was moles.

I came out one morning and he had 5 lined up on the step, head to tail - perfectly spaced, like a darned serial killer.

He was pretty happy about that.
