You do have a good point. I think it’s just the company that you are applying to.Some can be a real pain to try to get on. I personally have many years experience and got on with a company that basically hire on thru a company called hire right i almost said forget it because the information they seem to keep on needing seemed ridiculous and took almost a month to get cleared .If you didn’t have a job you didn’t there nothing more that can be done.

The FMCSA needs the carrier hiring you to document your employment history, gaps and traditional employment.
Self-employment is considered a gap.

SO it is really simple, you need to make a statement about your employment history as an avidavit, have it notorized and this will satisfy the FMCSA regulations.
