Waiting for Mentor Pay?

The problem is, with all the ME TOO stuff that has happened in recent years, most trainers will not deal with women rookies. Many women trainers won’t deal with women. So when a woman comes in with those demands (which is her right), even at a mega carrier with thousands of trucks, there will probably only be a handful or less of female trainers willing to deal with women trainees. This is not OP’s fault in any way. They probably have a trainer lined up, but she has a trainee in the truck. If OP quits and goes elsewhere, odds are she will encounter this problem at every other training company.

Not sure your experience is a good example or not. Guess it depends on each person involved and how they did or didn’t benefit. Lol. Good story, I’m sure it’s true. I can’t help but wonder if it lasted. Hopefully it did. Alls fair in love and war. I wonder what company has the 10 female trainers that only train men. I might need some of that training myself. I wonder if I could interview each of the 10? Mentor or not, I’m not paying them. Lol. Just a thought. A wrong thought. But a thought.

 

Commas are useful. Waiting for mentor, pay? Or better yet. If I'm waiting for mentor, do I get paid to wait?

 

Reminds me of the old joke about the felonious panda in the restaurant; Don't let a panda eat at your restaurant because everybody knows that pandas eat, shoots, and leaves......
