We are the silent labor force that keeps everything else working. We are the glue, the one labor force that cannot be outsourced....Or can we? All we have to do is allow the Government to grant amnesty to illegals, and the American Trucker will be a thing of the past. Much like the cowboy.

I heard they are developing trucks that can be driven by remote control like the aircraft drones over Iraq and Afganistan. Who do you think will be driving those trucks? Thousands of people in India with video game controllers that's who. Get a load to its destination on time - get an extra life. Run over a family of 5 in a four wheeler, oops, down to one chance left....

I know it's a radical, almost unheard of idea...

But why not just drive the speed limit?

Interesting, just the other day, I was heading south on I35 from Valley View heading towards one of our well we service. There was a pick up tuck on my left, and it looked like he was going a little slow. I was doing 65 when next the car in back of him flasher his lights. I figured he was telling the guy in front of him to speed up and move over.. Well turns out that the car was flashing them on me, he was a sheriff. When he cam along side of me he flashed them again. So I slowed down to around 60 and he kept of going. Figured he was given me a friendly reminder that the speed limit was 60 not 65..

I will tell you this for anyone who travels 35E out of Dallas and continues to 35 up towards Oklahoma.. Once you leave the Dallas area be very careful as once you get out of the city limits, the cops are all over the place all the way to the boarder, and they are pulling people over left and right.

Did the LEO's make you wait? How about the people you share the road with? Isn't waiting part of trucking? Did you know that when you started?

Speed limits are what they are. It's not like they don't put up big signs telling you what the speed limit is. I speed at times. It's a risk I take. If I get caught it's part of the game.
