Where is everyone #5

Someone might have one that they used for a project and will either sell it to you because they'll never use it again, or lend it to you. I know @wore out redid his top cap - but can't remember if he had the tool or borrowed it from a friend.

If I had one, I'd pop it in the post. I've got a bunch of tools I've used for little projects and they're collecting dust now.

 

San Antonio to Hillsboro,TX was a 200 mile trip that took 6 hours on Friday. No wrecks, no major construction, just traffic. Too many arses, not enough asphalt.

Lucky I wasn't in a rush for delivery, but it did screw up all my best laid plans for the following day.

You just gotta build it in the rate.

What about Craigslist? They have a tool section or post in the wanted section. It's free, why not?

 

Yes it’s the one that was at Dads. We went together and bought it brand new in 1999, it’s been a good machine. No, haven’t seen the mail yet….

 

Be a nice toy to have around the shop…

 

Check some of the DOD excess inventory auction sites. Have heard of people buying stuff like this for dirt cheap. Hauled a loader for a guy, said he only paid like 5k for it.

 

We've got a little 530 at the quarry as a backup loader. Been using it a lot lately since the primary loader went down till the new one gets here. It's funny watching guys not familiar backing it up! Drive a man to drinking there.

 

Sitting on the wrong end will do that to a fella.
