Old guy that my wife helps take care of just gave us a 2003 Cadillac with 18,000 miles. Had it serviced every 6 mon or so, sometimes the only miles were to the dealership and back.

4BT? I'm pretty sure a 6BT would fit. Those 4B's shake like a H-D @ idle since they don't have a vibration dampener. We retrofitted some Frito-Lay trucks with 4B's from GM gassers years ago and you can't imagine how loud they were inside with all the aluminum shelves rattling, lol.

In addition to a starter, i have a carburetor and new fuel pump to put on. I don’t think the fuel pump is bad but i’m replacing it anyway. Thankfully it’s an old enough car that it’s a mechanical one in the engine bay.

After i get it running correctly, then i’m going through the brake system. It needs a flush and bleed at the very least.

All the major drivetrain components work, it just needs the regular stuff after a car sits for years

They are splitting the load. Heading to the Dallas drop yard in the morning. Not sure what I am doing after that. I will only have 12 hours or so left on my 70 when I drop so I’m somewhat constrained. I also need to get to Fremont and get the Fridge replaced and the cameras sorted as well as a service. I think the plan is to run a day then reset and fart around all weekend and get in the shop Monday but we’ll see what the brain trust comes up with.

    Forgot to update

Delivered my oversized power pole from Valley to Belton SC yesterday morning and headed over to Hoschton for my load of racks for Lincoln. Delivers next Tuesday.

Currently sitting on the couch with the kids watching Cleetus McFarland. Catch y’all on the backside of this home time.

That’s the kind of car you can sit inside the engine compartment while working on it.
