Don't park at truckstops.. that's the best way to not run into the problem of not finding parking... maybe it is different east of i-35 but out west you can park on most on ramps.. I spend most nights parked on one with a nice dirt shoulder.. have a whole notebook filled with exit numbers

Is the 10,000 solo miles accident free a typo?
Did you mean 100,000?Iceman1643 and Chi Town Steers Thank this. -
Most all states east of the Mississippi don’t want ramp parking. Some enforce it a little more than others. As a whole truck parking in the east is a lot harder to find than out west. To the OP. Download trucker path. It is a valuable tool.tscottme, Iceman1643, gentleroger and 8 others Thank this.

Double park and call UBER. Stupid question. Stupid answer.

Drive illegal or park illegal? Get better at trip planning. It’s been years since i’ve had to do either.
I start early when I can. Park at the shipper or receiver when ever possible. Some areas you just have to take a short day and shutdown early even if you started late.tarmadilo, tscottme, RockinChair and 6 others Thank this. -
It would be pretty impressive if I hit 100,000 miles in a few months!hope not dumb twucker, Numb and Albertaflatbed Thank this.

My understanding is that it is technically illegal to park on any ramps any where. Even if some states don’t enforce it. Is that accurate?bryan21384, jjthomas89, hope not dumb twucker and 2 others Thank this.

I aim to park at rest stops, but sometimes it’s just not happening. Smart to have a list of ramps you can park on. That’s valuable. It is my understanding that parking on any ramp is illegal. Even if not enforced. Is that accurate?
