Came down with a terrible cold Sunday. I’m so glad I stocked up on DayQuil and NyQuil at Costco a few months back. Been fighting it for now three days. Last night I just passed out and even over slept my alarm. Thankfully this load has some flex and a shop visit to follow.

coffee made, pretrip complete, and time to roll out.

    stay safe

I was sick starting last Wednesday. Felt better on Thursday but on Friday and over the weekend i was sicker than a dog. Thankfully i was at home when it happened. Still sucked because i was supposed to go out on Friday, which obviously didn’t happen. I didn’t pull out of town until late yesterday morning

Been out a couple days myself with the crud. Turns out you can develop allergies later in life and get sinus infections from he double hockey sticks very easily. This is my 2nd one this year. Allegra and antibiotics to the rescue. I can (sort of) deal with the sinus pressure (although my glasses hurt me after about 6 hours), but this cough that comes out of nowhere and chokes me is the devil. Even prescription cough medicine doesn’t touch it. Only other time I coughed like this was when I was prescribed lisinopril for high BP (was a side effect that some people get).

i wonder why they’re switching it around. Seems like it’ll be a headache for no good reason

Didn’t get much done today. Receiver was reasonably quick unloading but I had a heck of a time getting my bills back from them. An hour after the light turned green I went in for the second time ( they have a sign at the office to stay in your truck and they’ll bring the bills, when I checked half an hour after no one was minding the store). I got a set of bills, start back for the truck and realized these aren’t my bills. Had to go back in again. After another 15 minutes of a “who’s on first?” reenactment I got my bills. Since I was a hairs breadth away from getting 2 hours to close my split I went ahead and crept out of the way and swept my wagon.
Weather was the next challenge, had a Severe Thunderstorm Warning in CB so I waited for that to roll by before I left but I caught back up with the weather near the Missouri line and when it started to get stupid I shut down at the Welcome Center to wait out. Weather cleared but I-29 was closed about 17 miles south of me at Craig, Missouri. Several big trucks were blown over and it looked like the north side of town got a mild tornado hit. Did some skinny roads to get around that but it was getting when I got to Cameron so I pulled the plug on the day.
