43% of all trucks inspected didn't have required chains.
That's an incredible stat

Mine will just stay on the rack while I wait for the mess to clear up. Chained up through snoqualmie last winter, full set of chains and still almost came too close to not making it over. I decided after that I wasn’t throwing those things unless it’s an emergency.
It’s getting so insane out here with the increasing amount of idiots coming into this industry, especially with the fools at FMCSA deciding to just hand out cdl’s and dot authorities even if the “driver” can’t speak or read English enough to understand signs or warnings. Going up that mountain I almost got taken out a few times by them.hope not dumb twucker, broke down plumber and mjd4277 Thank this. -
No matter how safe you are that doesn't stop the idiots around from crashing into you.
Once had a heavy load, chained up going over mountain.
Thought no problem I'll be slow and safe.
That didn't stop a truck ahead of me from Jackknifing just ahead of me blocking all the lane and me being stuck overnight.mjd4277, hope not dumb twucker and broke down plumber Thank this. -
Anybody use that autochain system , where chains get slung under the drive tires ?
