i won’t lie i kind of miss driving a blue truck. Saw my old truck rolling up 61 north of STL a couple weeks ago. Had no complaints with the company itself when i drove for them
Speed_Drums, Knucklehead, SlowPokeHauler and 4 others Thank this. -
I miss them too… not enough to go back though. I’ve been driving a 2020 white Freightliner Cascadia. Just turned 600,000. The only thing better than the Pete is the Jake brake. I’m hoping my next truck is a day cab!Xeres63 Thanks this.

they probably have you in a sleeper for the same reason some of the short haul guys here at FCC have sleeper trucks. They usually get home every day but if they get held up for whatever reason, company doesn’t have to pay for a hotel
you seem to do longer runs thoughBumper Thanks this. -
Yeah I miss the comradery we had there, it was a different time and place, but I have some great memories…
Thankfully I still get to run some of the same lanes, and like @ncmickey I don’t miss it enough to go back lol, and I definitely don’t miss the 1 am deliveries.SlowPokeHauler, Xeres63, nextgentrucker and 3 others Thank this. -
I’m usually out 2-3 nights a week, most weeks 2 nights and not in a row. But I’m hopefully transitioning into local position with the same company. Home every night… we will see. I don’t wanna jinx it before it happens!

that’s reefer for you. Dry van is better but you still deal with appointments, just rarely in the middle of the nightWinnyf1 and nextgentrucker Thank this.
