Exactly. It's what entertains us, ADHD folks, because we need to do something with our hands and feet. :)

I jumped on that train with you as well. Don't think I will ever go back to eating truckstop resturants

I seen a couple out west here that look pretty nice. Alot of single screw hay haulers in california got some 589s dressed up real nice. It's just the goofy looking wide cab and huge windshield makes it stand out like a sore thumb

I think what hit me was the filet mignon bacon wrapped price. We get about 4-5 packs of those each time and I leave them most of the year, and grab regular steaks and ground beef to cook with, before eventually putting on my best cooks hat to cook them properly.

Because I don’t eat out much I didn’t realize what they were selling that plate for. Seems insanely expensive to me.

I've never really been much of a Peterbilt fan but it looks better than what Kenworth has been building lately IMO.

Man I've driven Pete's and old/new KW and KW has always had the better cab layouts. More room and more comfortable.

I did have a rental 579 for about 30 minutes until I took it back to the dealer because the door switch was broken so the open door warning wouldn't shut off.

Every now and then I have to take our 389 daycab for a spin and I can't believe how loud it is and just how tiny the cab is. I'm a short guy and even I'm cramped with the seat slid back against the wall. Also only 1 cup holder and its on the wrong side of the cab so I have to fight the shifter for my drink.

At least with the modern cab styles you have room to stand up and move around a bit.

Wont lie - I bought the 379 for the sleeper. I was honestly happier in the T2000, or the old 9400 or company Volvos and Cascadias - even at 5’10” the cab of the 379 feels like an elephant in a matchbox sometimes.

If only they made 86” sleepers out of the factory with a toilet/shower - truckers would be a lot happier.

Have to agree on the peterbilt cabs. This t680 I'm in feels like a mansion compared to the Pete's I've driven

Not that it changes anything, but the Beef House there in Covington, IN is not a truckstop restaurant. It's not highfalutin as one can go in jeans & a t shirt, but a pretty legit steak house so to speak.

Prices are outrageous everywhere it seems.

I roll around in a '95 flat top FLD, & have to get out of this thing for a few hours every day. Juice probably ain't worth the squeeze for most people, but I currently have no fridge, no microwave, no airfryer no crockpot, & quite frankly just don't have the desire to deal with cooking & the mess I'd make that goes with it..

For sure, most restaurants leave alot to be desired, but here we are

I agree. If it is the truck, it came from home. Except the chef salad I get from Love's, which I then add another egg, more ham and black olives to before eating.

Even when I am home there are two places I go to eat at. One is a breakfast joint that cooks in butter only and the other is a Sunday dinner place for well prepared home style cooking.

    There is a third....my kitchen.
And yes, alcohol is served there.
