Actually, the Firehouse subshop near the Petro cleared out of the area a few years ago.

My solution? Complain about it to a stranger on a truckers forum.

The article said there weren't any further damages except the lost tire. I don't think a tire guy would mount a new steer on an aluminum rim that had been driven very far.

I'm actually on board with this post. It does feel like CHP is trying to push a narrative in the article. That scale is big and safe so that you can get some help. Saying that the driver didn't know his tire was damaged, don't buy it. I'll bet CHP made that part off. It's impossible to not know a steer is gone.

It’s real fun when one explodes going through the bypass lane, pulling a flammable tanker, and it blows the fender off, and some jerk gets on the cb, after the big explosion that shook everything and officers hitting the dirt that you just blowed a tire, you “gotta stop now..” and just keeps yelling at you the rest of the way through.

I didn’t know mine was gone when it flew off. I pulled over right away because I felt a vibration I thought was from the driveline.
Total shock when I got out and saw the right front tire gone. Other than the rim there was no damage to the truck.
The truck never jerked or pulled to the side when it happened, just the vibration.
And I’m not a newbie either.

Yeah but you knew something wasn't right. You know how your truck operates. You at least got out to investigate.
