If you self-report, it'll go in your record. Then, one more incident and you'll be fired and have problems finding a new job.
I've blasted by scales dozens of times and never heard anything about it.
Blew a scale tonight

You definitely lucked out. Oklahoma is one state that chases trucks down a lot for blowing scales. Your good now, nothing to worry about.

Where are you now and when do you thing you'll be coming back through? What company you work for? What color is your truck? PM me your phone number so we can take care of this matter without having to take further action.
Sincerely,

That scale is very confusing. Even when you enter it, the X and arrow keep switching at random so you have no clue where to go. I just go over the scale every time to be safe (when its open)mjd4277 and Rideandrepair Thank this.

In all seriousness though, OK has built those super coops that have some high tech sensors and cameras that probably know everything about your truck before you even approach the scale.
The next step would be mailing tickets for blowing them. (Scales , not the official).
My wife had zero speeding tickets in 10 years, but 3 scale skippers. All due to the usual factors. I still hold it over her head if she beefs me on her ‘perfect record’.
One was CA. The other was OK - actively chased down and made to return.
So yeah - either back road it if you’re illegal, or obey the ‘small word’.mjd4277, Oxbow, 4mer trucker and 7 others Thank this.
