Update, chain requirements lifted. right after he and two others left with their chains on.

    Monkey see, monkey do.

If there is ever an IQ test required for this job then there will actually be a driver shortage.

Once my clock resets in a hour I will take my 12 LG appliances (3,000 lbs) to Greeley, CO.

You’d be surprised. Buddy had a few migrants crawl up into his sleeper fairing and ride all the way from the border to Indiana before they bolted.

Quiet as mice. When they boarded, he thought his trailer was being messed with.
Nope. No seal broken, went back to bed.

He called police when he saw them dismount, the LEO couldn’t GAF.

Yep, have seen them pulled out of sleeper fairings by authorities roadside before.

Is that the one that has the electromagnet in it to prevent bottoming out?

I would say the pull starts about that truckstop going east. Doesn't seem like a horrible idea. Easier to throw chains there than fighting everybody in the chain up area and laying in a snowbank. But who knows, lots of dumb truck drivers in that area anymore

Monarch Pass in CO a couple of winters ago - I’d agree - better to have them on. About lost my business that day.

Conditions turn quickly the more you climb, and options for a safe pull out area diminish.

I'm not exactly sure what all voodoo it has. I know the shock is electrically controlled with a magnetic fluid in it, and there is an extra air tank in the base. Sears really doesn't say or explain much about it. I almost went with a Gra-Mag seat due to their transparency and full listing of parts and schematics, but couldn't find any to sit on first.
    Negatives:
    - When you get off the seat, it shoots up to top of the stroke, even if you just have enough air in it to keep from being bottomed out. My regular Atlas didn't do that. I wish there was a quick dump button (like gramag and some other seats offer) or even just something that holds a ride height.
    - It sits a little higher than a regular atlas as well. Not a lot, but there's also no low option since all the extra mumbo jumbo is mounted in the base.

That said, it was less than half the cost of a gramag with the fancy ride control thing, and as mentioned, just the improved ride on rough roads and the warzone that is Indiana I-70 is worth dealing with the cons. It doesn't just keep it from bottoming out, it also keeps it from bouncing up. It does an amazing job at making you feel like you're just gliding above the chaos that's going on, but at the same time you don't feel disconnected.

Hopefully they got you fixed up now. Getting moved from ICU to a regular room is a good sign. Hang in there.
