Job hopping may be killing off your chances to find a decent place to work. You haven't stayed anywhere 1 year it seems. How long have you been in the industry?

WEL companies....
My nephew was looking at joining their training program w/license. Until the full details were given
1) 4 month program, which is great training timeline. If you can stay gone most of the entire time.
2) Double bunk hotel for 2 weeks orientation/yard training, etc. w/another student. Paid weekly.
3) 2 - 4 weeks w/trainer. Paid weekly.
4) Full team drive w/another student fresh off the trainer's truck as you were. Each driver must log 25k miles.
Should/could take up to 2 - 2.5 months @ 2,500 miles per driver weekly 5,000 miles per week, if that.
May request a few days hometime once off trainer's truck, but not guaranteed.
5) OTR hometime is 2 weeks out 2 days home. Pretty average.Sapphire_Glitter and Lonesome Thank this. -
Not judging, but it sounds like you have picked up a paper "trail" that isn't looking too good to prospective employers. That might be something you need to fix before knocking on some doors.

Too bad that once famous leasing company, the 121'st largest (but growing exponentially every day), run by that famous person, a born leader, the man the myth ,the legend, a friend to all men, women, and small barnyard animals, Inga's hero, isn't around anymore.....bryan21384, mjd4277 and TB John Thank this.

Yes, it was unfortunate that market trends forced that illustrious company out of business. Luckily the astute former owner, with help from his financial advisory committee K.K. C.E. and J.M. and occasionally R.M.( who still talks about himself in the third person, very annoying! ) has landed shiny side up and is busy delivering containers and liquid totes all over the SW. NOT California, with his show quality COE Diamond Reo. I wonder what ever happened to his Director of Marketing and Quality Assurance who kept his finger on the pulse of the trucking industry?bryan21384 and Lonesome Thank this.

Being in Florida, I think you are outside the area Prime will hire you.

Last I heard, he hooked up with some Scandanavian beauty, known for her abilities, and prowess on the trampoline. Laying low, waiting to pounce on the next opportunity....mjd4277, bryan21384 and TB John Thank this.

If he has his attorney on retainer, he's smart to make him earn his pay numerous times a month. I wouldn't want one of those slick suited, silver tongued devils sitting on their rump roast doing nothing whilst collecting my hard earned money either!Trucker61016, Iamoverit, TB John and 1 other person Thank this.

Last 3 companies i was with eventually slowed down to around 1000-1600 miles a week.
When i was with WEL constantly handed dispatches that were tight on time or late when handed to me already then held against me (given 18 hours to make a 16hour drive and I gotta drive through Orlando, DC, Baltimore and Philly during rush houduring the load) which we know aint happening
Getting thrown a last minute terminal load to drag back to get there and then shipper tells me it had already been rescheduled for 3 days later and then I get marked late on my pickup because they demanded I go wait on that first and it made me late for original pickup etc
All railroading to force me to be late and I get marked service risk and shorted on pay
That ain't even the start of it
Van and reefer companies are predatory at this point I'm afraid to go out with another one of em at this point, can't trust any carrier unless you go work for yourselfLonesome Thanks this. -
Prime has a drop yard in Lakeland, i drove by it plenty of times, their behavior and driver facing cams are a no for me however
