That’s cheap. Biggest risk money wise is covered. I bought my 2001 in 2009 for $30k, with 875k and only 50k on the OH. It went 1.4mil. Now has 2.5 mil, 200k on another OH. I think $17k is low. $22k with wiggle room sounds better. Everyone likes to win a negotiation, and feel like they got a deal. But $17k firm will work. Someone who knows the value of an out of frame rebuild on a Cat will surely love to get that deal. Common thing I hear today, is because Trucks are so cheap, many would much rather buy another than pay for an OH. That Truck fits the bill. Someone will jump on $17k. Stay firm on price. It’ll sell.
Good starter truck.

Still pounding them night turns buddy?
Need to call you at some stage - just figure you're keeping weird hours these days.
It'll be there.
I gotta go to bed and to work. Night y'all.exhausted379, Siinman and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
These were good trucks, had I stayed in the RR container biz, I definitely would have got one. I'd prefer a KW, but this is about the best way to buy a truck, from someone you know. Got a lot of miles, electrical gremlins will drive you nuts, but relatively speaking, not a lot of money. Just be ready for the "nickel and dime" stuff.
Rideandrepair and Opendeckin Thank this. -
Oh how I wished this was posted 6 months in the future as then i would have the funds to jump on this.
FullMetalJacket, blairandgretchen, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
I was looking at a similar truck a while back but sold by the time I could get there, was listed for 20k, apparently the C13s have bigger mains then the 12 and the same number of head bolts as the 15s, and you can single them out easy depending on what way you want to go.
while i would start with an old pre emissions paid off truck again, as it can sit a lot easier, I don’t think I have it in me to do another one, especially since I have to work every week now. It’s more fun to mess around with them in my own time vs doing it in a snow storm because I HAVE to go to work in the morningOpendeckin, Oxbow, FullMetalJacket and 3 others Thank this. -
I already have a truck sitting at the house waiting for me to throw money at itOpendeckin, singlescrewshaker, Sons Hero and 5 others Thank this.

Same here.Oxbow, Old_n_gray, FullMetalJacket and 2 others Thank this.

See, this is a potential solution. Get this truck at a very reasonable price, make some money, fix the other, then sell for what you got into it.Old_n_gray, Rideandrepair, blairandgretchen and 3 others Thank this.

We'll i like the way u think but what happens if that truck ships the bed .. now I got 2 broke trucks and even less money than before... I'd probably jump on it if I didn't already have one .. but who knows what gremlins will rear their head when it gets put to worksinglescrewshaker, Sons Hero, ElmerFudpucker and 2 others Thank this.

Same here. Drove a 2011 386 for about a year. Was a really smooth comfortable ride. That truck is what got me interested in driving a 389.Sons Hero, Rideandrepair, blairandgretchen and 1 other person Thank this.
