I'm saying it sounded like fiction, just like this one. Maybe people here actually knew her? Like I said, I don't really care either way. With 8 billion people in the world, who knows, the chances of it all being 100% on the up and up have pretty good odds I guess.

 

I sure as hell don’t post here regularly but hands down this is the best thread and the best group of guys on TTR. Just reading along one can learn a whole bunch of things here.

 

What's worse is when you give your best ## rate, they "check with their guy" and then actually call back.

 

7 days thawed is pretty lofty food safety. Sorry, prepared rice has a 1 day life, 2 if it was cooled quickly and kept cold. After 3 I won't even let the dogs have it.

 

@KANSASTRANSIT was a good example. Didn't know the guy personally - but hooked up auto transportation for a handicapped accessible van that we owned that needed transport to Louisiana for a family member. I had little idea how to handle it - did me a solid, a job well done.

He died a few years back. Like - a real forum member died, that had helped me out, not for anything other than helping.

 

Well, I can't say I've had a large meeting of folks on here, either, but I did get to meet and eat with @jamespmack and his daughter at his buddy Bill's BNE BBQ and I happened to have met a guy when I was on the road years ago, that gave me his card, which I just saw the other day and can't find now...something like Black900, KWBlack or something to that effect, and gave him my handle, but back then, I was actively working and didn't post much if any, although I wish I had back then, as I was usually running hard, and down time usually meant catching up with email, and some programming work on the laptop or falling asleep trying to do either.

 

Okay, thanks. I didn't know her either, personally, but she was a member since 2014, until she "expired" in 2022. This scenario with @TX2Day is a lot shorter, so I could see where this could be looked at from this angle, since it's barely been 2 years from the creation of the account. Not a small amount of time invested, but I guess depending on what the motivation and end game was, not as long of a time as say @MOBee had.
