Got mt DOT medical card and I'm doing practice tests online... general knowledge, air brakes and combos. Getting passing scores but I'm afraid my nerves will get the best of me.
Could use some tricks and tips to get past all that. I never tested well.
Going for my permit next week- any advice?

I'm not sure how it works in your state, but for every written test I ever took at any DMV, they always gave me the option to skip questions and come back to them later.
I would say, if you get to a question and you aren't 100% certain of the answer, don't sit there fretting over it, just skip that question and answer all the questions you are sure about.
When you come back to the skipped question, you might find that you already answered enough questions correctly to pass the test either way, and now you can safely take an educated guess without fear of failing.
Good luck!Gearjammin' Penguin, NY2001, TNSnowman and 3 others Thank this. -

#1 Free 2020 CDL Practice Tests
Don’t stress, the tests are easy enough.
Don’t know what type of trailer you’re planning on pulling but if you’re thinking dry van get the tanker endorsement. You need it to haul liquid totes. -
Here's what they look like.

Spread the tests for 2 days. Before going inside the dmv read the booklet 2 times and do some practice tests inside your car for the sections you’re doing.
When taking the test make sure to take your time and make sure you understand the question, -
And the time and cost to get a pilot's license is a lot less than a CDL.
Much easier as well. No brains required. -

I passed. By the skin of my teeth, but I passed.
