I can tell you if you think getting a 70mph truck is going to make you more money, you’re fooling yourself..it simply most of the time comes down to how good your ops department plans..my truck runs at 68 on the cruise and majority of my run i avg 62mph for entire trip…consistently is the key

I don't think that, I just think I could cover more miles and get to my destination faster. AND!! I could finally pass the slow *ss vehicles going 62-63mph, slowing me down, which I loath...hope not dumb twucker Thanks this.

If you have a truck that’s governed at 65-68 that’s all you need…but one thing you have to remember is this ….keep that left door closed more…I have drivers who pass me 4-5 times a day and never get any further than I do…running the east coast will slow you down more no matter what speed your truck is than running west…I’m speaking from experienceFriend, hotrod1653, hope not dumb twucker and 4 others Thank this.

That’s the thing bro, I'm governed at 65mph, cannot do anymore than that unless I'm on a downgrade. When in hills, I hate to be behind slow vehicles doing 62-63mph, they slow me down, when I try to pass them, I come up on a hill, I slow down to 55mph and they just kept going. I absolutely hate that. There are other trucks that climb them hills no problem so my company's truck is just that slow, especially when we're loaded, hauling 48,000-50,000 lbs of sheetrock.

Do you really expect your truck to do close to posted speed limit going up good size hills when loaded with nearly 50k lbs?hope not dumb twucker, Speedy356 and nextgentrucker Thank this.
-
Not really Lol, but I get just as frustrated being stuck behind slow vehicles on flat roads too.
-
That happens even when you’re in a 70mph truck, too. If you let it frustrate you all day, every day, you’ll end up with high blood pressure in your thirties. A good 20 hour long audiobook on Bluetooth will take your mind off of it and help pass the miles. What @drvrtech77 said about keeping the left door closed and developing the habit of not stopping so often is the secret to covering distance.Friend, hotrod1653, Knucklehead and 4 others Thank this.

I like to do the old RV elderly couple game and do 25 in the 75mph zone . Let people play leap frog over my back.
Knucklehead, hope not dumb twucker and nextgentrucker Thank this. -
Yeah, the difference is at least I know I'm doing the speed limit at 70mph, but I guess you're right, I just listen to a lot song from my playlist. My thing is since I can only go 65mph, I get to my destination 35 minutes later than if I would be going at 70mph.
-
We all understand that as well..it does get aggravating but like @Tanker_82 said let it roll off and try not to let it get to you and drive your Bo up because it will.hotrod1653, hope not dumb twucker and nextgentrucker Thank this.
