They found a way to keep me from grumping at them, run me...plus, with me, they have a driver who stays out months, runs hard to pretty much anywhere, doesn't have freight claims and thanks to a good habit I got into at SPD, a driver who turns in paperwork promptly without being reminded, many times before I leave the consignee's property.Last edited: Apr 16, 2025

They have pretty much got our dispatch system down to A science if you wannacall it that… Productivity is looked at and the asset managers are constantly evaluated on our productivity if we’re not running miles, their Pay I am guessing in the form of bonuses are negatively affected… I picked up my first load at 3 o’clock Monday afternoon in Arlington and by 6 o’clock tomorrow evening I will already have just under 2200 mileshope not dumb twucker, Knucklehead and Rugerfan Thank this.

That is one improvement that has made a difference. The one part about their system that needs tweaking though is that they need to learn what a PTA is...the only loads I have said no to are the ones I have no possible way to get picked up because it is so far over my PTA that I can't legally do, or even split log to be able to get to. Some have had the pickup appointment rescheduled, but some just get unplanned.hope not dumb twucker, Knucklehead and drvrtech77 Thank this.

I guess this guy thought "if Cali DOT treats drivers like dogs, I'll act like one"... Or else he figured if the homeless get away with it, he can too...maybe he should have told them he identifies as a K9 furry, and they only pee on trees

Years ago, a 4 wheeler who was wasted pulled into the runaway truck ramp on the Grapevine to take a leak. He set off the alarm and got stuck. Was easy for CHP to find.austinmike, hope not dumb twucker and Knucklehead Thank this. -

Plus I also have a proactive Fleet Manager (terminal manager). I was here before Rae was hired. She once told me back in my Crete days that when she signed on her computer on Monday mornings, she always wondered how many emails she was gonna get from the various weekend crew that I went off on. Plus, they know who I am on here. I'm the guy that sat down with 2 VP's who threatened my job about my posts on this forum until I reminded them that I only post about my experiences or my opinions, and have the right to free speech as long as I make it clear to the reader which is which. (one of the VP's in that meeting is still an executive here and is planning to retire soon - maybe he heard I was back and said "oh hell no, not him again, I'm outa here". ) - (Not really)
austinmike, kylefitzy, 88 Alpha and 8 others Thank this.
