PULP - Bagged Spinach ???

I'm pretty sure insurance only pays for cost to produce, and not the $amount shipper was to have gotten paid by Costco. And since presumably the shipper sold and redelivered to someone else, perhaps they got their money + to produce? I got to get boned up on this subject again since I am getting back into produce some.

 

What was the RA temp? That will tell if the product was hot or not

It means when you take a temperature gun or other temp checking device and u check the temperature of the product.

 

Find out what they did with the load, did they destroy it or most likely sold it to another company

 

Then deny the claim.

 

If you’re a 1 man show owner op, stay away from these sensitive produce loads, especially in these cheap freight market we’re in, and if u must haul produce stay away from spinach arugula and all berries. If you end up do hauling one, at least get it delivered asap meaning same day or next day. Make sure they dont load it to where it’s close to the ceiling and blocking airflow, leave enough space to where the air hits the rear of the door. Very important final step is to write SLC ( shipper load count ) on the BOL when u sign out, never write ur name, this final step can be the deciding factor for liability when something like this happens.
