Hello fellow drivers. Short and sweet made a career change got just under 3 months in doing combination trucking have 4 years of class B Hazmat but that doesn't really help me out. To the point put an application in with US Express for a regional position. Offer is .80 a mile at least 450 miles a day and reset time is routed to be at home. Too good to be true or worth the risk till I get a year of driving experience?
Advice needed please

Combination trucking?
With whom?
Why the switch so soon (3 months in)?

I’d get that in writing. And if you get less than 450 miles a day, is the pay still guaranteed.

Class A
PAM Transportation
There a few reasons didn't plan on long term there. But some rumblings internal issues with staff. Restructuring I guess you can sayaustinmike and larry_minn Thank this. -

Did you quit PAM already, or looking while still employed?
If you have already left, then if you have an offer of .80 you might want to jump on it. This is not exactly the best time for a newish driver to be looking for work.
And jumping ship after only (under) 3 months? Not a good omen for future employers.austinmike Thanks this. -
I haven't quitI only will if I was certain I had a new job.
austinmike and Moosetek13 Thank this. -
Recruiters never lie, they just make stuff up. Clarify .80 a mile probably a combo of pay per mile plus stop pay. Possibly a multi-stop dollar store route: hand unload after backing into impossible tight spots.
Sirscrapntruckalot, Opus, Gearjammin' Penguin and 5 others Thank this. -
Yes this....Clarify and get it in an email!austinmike and UturnGirl Thank this.

"...at least 450 miles per day"? Yeah, too good to be true.
It won't be.
So, PAM is still as bad as it was back 35+ years ago, it seems. they had so much driver turnover back then, the company was referred to as "No-stick PAM".....
No, recruiters ALWAYS lie.
One thing you didn't mention: what is the REGION?UturnGirl Thanks this.
