Saw the first air seeder in the field yesterday while out bombing around the countryside. Woke up to snow this morning. I think this is now 4th winter?

@blairandgretchen
I realize my best course would be to call them and ask directly this week but hypothetically speaking if a driver was to get a job with what… appears to be a fleet owner that runs his trucks with Landstar would said driver need to have his Hazmat endorsement?singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford, CAXPT and 9 others Thank this. -
Would said driver be driving loads requiring a placard ?singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford, CAXPT and 3 others Thank this.

Well Im neither Blair nor Gretchen, but years back when I had 1st let my hazmat lapse and I was going to lease onto Landstar, they ok'ed me as long as I got it within 30 days iirc.
Out of curiousity, does this fleet owner post on this forum?singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford, CAXPT and 4 others Thank this. -
I do not believe so. It’s a heavy haul position and they mention nothing about needing it on their website. However, I do know of Landstars requirements for their lease operators who own a truck.singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford, CAXPT and 7 others Thank this.

Ah, ok.
When I was applying at landstar it was to run for a fleet owner but I was going to purchase a truck from him.singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford, CAXPT and 6 others Thank this. -
I've heard both what @HillbillyDeluxeTruck said and that it's a requirement before signing on.
If I were you and you're going to go there, I'd start the fingerprinting process - that way you can at least show you're in the process. It's $100 odd through the third party fingerprint places.
I think their onboarding process is still handled by a third party outfit, used to be called 'Starqual' - and I recall that they were capable of giving three different answers to the same question, depending on who you talked to that day.singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford, CAXPT and 9 others Thank this. -
Ooops - you went playing outside the sandbox, didn't ya! (As @tramm01 would say).

Your fault!

I wandered over to @Gumper 's post about getting his truck home. Rotfl.
The internet isnt a safe space. Trucking isn't safe or easy. For.the life of me, I do not understand why there is so much hand holding and coddling on this forum. I fully understand and support the fact that I do not own this place and there are rules. But this isn't Seseme St. and no of us are children.
P.s I sent him a message. I'm gonna hit up corporate tomorrow and see what it'll take to grab an rgn hopefully from the Houston terminal and get his truck out to Wyoming.singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford, CAXPT and 11 others Thank this. -
I think Nikimbre might have him sorted out. See what he says.singlescrewshaker, 1951 ford, CAXPT and 9 others Thank this.
