And lack of good sight lines. The new machines have cameras, but a good friend of mine lost his Dad in one years ago when he went off a 40' high wall backwards while working.singlescrewshaker, exhausted379, jamespmack and 13 others Thank this.

You’ve lost me a bit here so are you working on the old style with a slack adjuster? If so I think we went a 1/4 turn on everything but steers and 1/2 on them.
The few late disc I’ve seen no adjustment just sorta let the rough side drag.singlescrewshaker, exhausted379, broke down plumber and 9 others Thank this. -
It's a 1989 has the auto slacks with removable paws. On a S-cam like disc brake. Fire apparatus. I could get pics tomorrow. Or dig though some books. Just figure someone seen them. I knew some fleets tried these. But most removed them.singlescrewshaker, broke down plumber, Big Road Skateboard and 8 others Thank this.

I think those were more common on Mack trucks. Don't see many of them out this way and I don't think I've ever had my hands on those kind of brakes.

Mack fire apparatus especially. Semi Tanker outfit tried them here. Mostly lack of maintaince, they removed them after alot of fires.
Starting to think this might be a Mack chassis.

Going to head to the newest part of the ranch today to deliver a backhoe. They bought it a couple years ago and I still haven't been there. It's north of Rawlins. Called the Stone Ranch. 87,500 acres. Should be a good day
Ain't much of a load but it'll burn the cobwebs out of the truck that hasn't done much since last DecemberSons Hero, Nostalgic, Walk Among Us and 17 others Thank this. -
We stayed busy throwing them in a pile one summer. England Truck Sales bought a fleet of Mack’s that had them. Made everyone of them a tri axle which didn’t work to well. We converted all of them back to drums. That’s been 25 years ago. I was still young solid steel and sex appeal back thencke, singlescrewshaker, Feedman and 8 others Thank this.
