Man, I hate to piss on your parade but all you're doing is trading one very lousy situation for another.

IMO, you have two better options...

The best option is staying with the Pumpkin so you can go back to your dollar store run and get your official one year in.

The second is the opportunity @D.Tibbitt is offering you.

    Are you secretly a masochist?

I teamed. No solid sleep truck always moves. One guy he/we would park the truck for 4 hours and we both sleep. You get a couple hours moving and four sitting. I had one driver out of four that was a smoothe driver. Others I talked to about putting two mattresses on the bottom bunk to isolate from the road. Or even three.

I am not saying the company I am working for is the end all be all... nor do I drink the company Kool aid .. it's a means to an end. A good way to make money with very little bs compared the average otr carrier.

You've been here on the forum long enough that I feel pretty confident you're not a recruiter. You might get an incentive for bringing him on but I've never seen you push it out so I feel confident you're being honest with him.

Frankly, it couldn't be any worse than his current situation nor the impending FedWrex nightmare that's about to become a reality for him.

I personally think getting off of the account he's on and going back to the dollar store account will pay him back tenfold in the long run if he can get the full year in though.

Once he's got that, he can go nearly anywhere and he can move to any state he wants. Even go local without doing nasty food service if he wants.

Three months doing dollar general. It's a safer bet. Fedex good way to die. But you could learn a second language and get a foreign born wife.

His old DG boss , said he had a job. So in that sense it's not a big deal.

No I mean I really appreciate the offer from D. Tibbit. Arctic Fox too. I’m just not sure I can pass on the chance to get a foreign born wife and learn that second language. I joke. But I’m going to sleep on it. I’m definitely not thrilled about the idea of running teams. Dollar General wasn’t that bad really, hard job but cool boss. Idk I might just take the summer off then come back to Schneider to finish the year. I’ll sleep on it.

All it takes for me is to train someone for a few days to know I’m not cut out to be a team driver. I was so ready to be by myself 3 days into it, and I was running local going home for nights.
I hate sitting in silence with someone else, and I don’t like when they run their mouth with the same old stories over and over again either.
