Thinking of joining Wel Companies for training or experienced? Don't do it...

I know exactly what you are talking about from my first hand experience. I accepted a position as a Southeast Regional driver and went to orientation quite a few years ago. I asked questions about things like a new mattress and was told yes on phone but no at orientation, strictly SE Regional yes on phone but maybe not at orientation and if there was detention or breakdown pay and again yes on phone but no again at orientation. Also after arriving in Wisconsin Airport a group of 5 of us waited for over 3 hours because the person assigned to pick us up forgot. Trustworthy, he'll no. I left the next day on my dime and had to pay back for my flight to Wisconsin. Worse company that I ever applied to.

 

They used to have a good reputation, wonder what happened. I see a lot of their trucks now have “WEL truck leasing” on the door, wonder if they are pressuring rookies to go lease purchase
