And here I thought that was for drivers washing their feet at the fuel island when they didn't have time to do it in the bathroom sink(or the stalls)...silly me

Got a preplan. Pick up out of the same pharma warehouse going to the Wally DC 10 mi from my house. However, it picks up and delivers tomorrow (but still puts me home a day ahead of schedule, so I won't ##### too much about it). Plus, I get paid for all but the 10 miles I travel between the DC and my house.

I have a final stop at five in the morning. The load planner turns around and puts a pre-plan on me to pick up at 5 PM tomorrow… I immediately rejected it and sent them a message saying load planner need to do a better job looking at prior loads prior to assigning a pre-plan you can’t have somebody picking something up that late in the day when they’re delivering that early in the morning
hope not dumb twucker and mstrchf117 Thank this. -
@supersnackbar well here seems to be the biggest problem. The low planner has no self critical thinking skills just goes by what the computer program tells him to do… No wonder things at times get so screwed up

I swear, the only metric they look at is deadhead miles! Especially weekend. Idi how many preplans I've gotten that just flat ignore my pta and hos, which is the bare minimum of what they should be looking at.Friend Thanks this.

These cubicle dwelling desk drivers probably don't have a clue what a PTA is, it's just 3 letters.
Just like Crete's VP and our safety department don't have a clue when it comes to heat and tire pressure. They set the system up to tell you when you're approaching a scale that is known for tire violations, and encourage you to stop and check your tire pressure after you've been driving a while. You're tires are hot from driving, so naturally they're gonna stick at a higher pressure than when you should've checked them cold. And Crete's VP keeps pushing that same thing on the weekly update. That's one thing I miss about Moore and SPD. Every department at both companies had someone that was a former driver, so they had a clue about how to do this job.Speed_Drums, hope not dumb twucker and Lonesome Thank this. -
Well that’s the secondary purpose. LolFriend and Knucklehead Thank this.
