Unfortunately, the company I am leased to forces me to use an ELD called ISAAC. It's horrible. The user interface is incredibly buggy. Of course, the FMCSA doesn't care about how difficult an ELD is to use, but they do care if you exceed your hours because it's calculating wrong. Here's a case where I think it's calculating hours of service wrong, but I want to make sure I am not the one making a mistake.
On June 21, I first started driving at 0747 ET. At 2220 ET (1433 later) the ELD thinks I still have 3:34 left on my 14 hour clock. I was off duty for several hours in between, but never in the sleeper berth. I was driving at 2147 ET (exactly 14 hours after I started driving) without the ELD telling me that I needed to stop or flagging me for a HOS violation. Was this somehow legal?![]()

Never heard of the ISAAC ELD and interested in hearing more about them because I would really like to dump Big Road soon when it comes up for renewal.
Anyway, here’s a thread I found on TTR.
Best Overall ELDhope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
You paused your 14 for 3 hours earlier in the day with your big off duty chunk of time.
Schnoodledorfer and Concorde Thank this. -
Concorde Thanks this.

Thanks everyone for your help. Sorry I didn't reply sooner.
One big red flag for me regarding ISAAC is that it has so many little bugs as if the developers never alpha tested it, much less beta testing it. For example, the back button doesn't work consistently depending on what screen you're on. There is one screen where you have to reboot the entire tablet if you accidentally display it because there is no other way out of that screen.hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
