    Since he's innocent, he should get his discharge upgraded to Honorable and also be qualified for VA benefits.

    That sounds like a clear cut case of at least accessory after the fact, possibly obstruction/spoliation, and arguably felony murder.

    Hard to feel any sympathy for the guy.
