Sounds like a wandering soul on that stretch of highway, I definitely am a believer in those sort of things
I have a close friend who swears up and down to this day he saw a native American in Arizona on the side of a 2 lane highway back in the 80's at around 3 in the morning. He had just gotten out of the Marine Corps and was driving back east on a lonely stretch of highway and was drifting off to sleep while driving when he saw a Native American in full traditional clothing squatted next to the highway. He said it startled him so bad he completely woke up until he got to the next town to go sleep.

I have tried doing some research in that area for something that might be related. But I have not found anything. That area is known for several women disappearing in. But none of them dressed the way that she was. I didn't feel any evilness or anger from her. More of a calmness or happiness feeling. Hard to explain. My student told me the same thing also. I just wish I knew more about it. Might have just been a "random" encounter.

I posted this interaction here in hopes that someone else may have experienced something like it. Maybe seen her as well. Or if anyone has ever had someone or something appear in their vehicle like that during a storm while traveling in that area.

I've driven that stretch quite a few times. Lots of kids and teens obviously hang out that way by the looks of all the rock sculptures they make out there in the flats. Lots of hanky panky and no telling what else going on out there.(Missing persons) There's something about that area and the long lonely highways out in Nevada that definitely give me the creeps. Fortunately I've never been pushed too much on a load going out that way where I've had to drive those areas at night. Great story, thanks for sharing.

There’s another post on here somewhere that has some paranormal experiences on it with some stories similar. Would be curious to know if it would have one like that.

Common occurance down here in the southwest on the indian reservations. We call em road walkers.. just a drunk indian out for a stroll
