The book -“Reach for the sky” great story. Shot down behind enemy lines also. The guy just never gave up.

Sign up for a trucking company cdl school. No need to say anything about the school you just went to and didn't pass. You weren't an employee at the school, so don't list it. Only list your full time job. Don't say anything to any other students about previously attending a cdl school.

It's harder to learn a task when you pile the whole world and the rest of your life in your shoulders while learning. I can't tell if your brand new skills are beyond improvement or not. I also can't tell if you have the patience and humility to learn the skill. It seems if you learned the other skills, you can learn this skill. One thing some people have a problem with is turning off their internal commentary while they are learning. For example, while the trainer is saying what to do and when, etc those people will be talking to themself while instructions are being said and you are silently replaying the past episodes and how and why you messed those other events up. While you are learning, no 'talking' to yourself, no 'doom and gloom'. Also for trucking skills, go as slow as necessary, even 1 mph, so you can look where you want and think of what to do. I had to overcome my wish to not hold up the parade for everyone on the street or the other students waiting their turn. This is where the whole world will have to just wait for you to do what needs to be done.

I wonder if you are failing to drive far enough into the intersection and make a more than 90 degree right turn. There was a tight turn intersection in town at my first job and I had to drive into the intersection where my front bumper was about where the waiting car's passenger headlight was before turning the truck steering wheel to begin the turn. Lots of turns require more than a 90 degree bend of the combination. EVERYONE behind and beside you would rather you take even 10 minutes to make that turn than hurry up and hit the waiting car or knock down a telephone pole. Go as slow as you need. You can't be the least able student on the planet. You could be too nervous, thinking too chaotically, or looking for a reason to quit. Only you know what's really going on. If you are too critical of your behavior you are not helping yourself. You should not accept bad performance and feel like it's OK, but some people do. It's not how success is made.
